Emilie received her certification as a RYT-200 HR from Akasha Yoga Studio in Crystal Lake, Illinois under the instruction of Jennifer Ewert, Scott Roos and Denise Yager.
During her intensive training she studied the following:
Philosophy and psychology of yoga
Anatomy and physiology of yoga
Teaching and practicing asanas
Asana class structure with sequences
Teaching and practicing pranayama
Diet, nutrition and ayurveda
Emilie received her training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
During her training, she studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts, including Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Christiane Northrup, OBGYN and NY Times bestselling author; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities. Her education has equipped her with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health.

With over 10 years of experience as a Designer in the corporate world, Emilie is well versed in how to incorporate balance and design into your home and life. She has a Masters Degree in Architecture & Design with a focus in Sustainablity from Lawrence Technological University.
Educated in both design and nutrition, Emilie likes to think out of the box to help you create a plan that meets your goals and ambitions.
When it comes to design she believes in simplicity, focus and empathy. Your home is a place that provides you mental and emotional support, a place you look forward to being in to get away from the outside world. Your home is a reflection of yourself and with Emilie's design experience she will help guide you in creating that special place that reflects your best self and highest aspirations. Emilie believes in working with you to identify your obstacles and create strategies for forward movement to connect the mind, body and soul.
